ROLE:  3rd Shift Manager (sterile products)

SHIFT:  3rd Shift (10pm to 630am) on 5-day pattern (Sunday Night to Friday Morning)

COMPENSATION:  $60,000 to $75,000

ATTRACTIVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required) and College/University Degree (preferred)
  • Experience (2+ years) in a manufacturing leadership role
  • Understanding of LEAN, 5S, ISO and cGMP
  • Solid knowledge and experience using MS Office applications and SAP
  • Ability and willingness to work on call hours and to flex work schedule as required to support 24/5 operations
  • Ability and willingness to work in a production floor setting with moderate noise
  • Ability and willingness to gown and work in an ISO7/ISO9 Cleanroom setting
  • Ability and willingness to work in fast-paced, matrix structured organization

SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE: The Shift Manager will coordinate and manage sterile operations while helping provide strategic direction to achieve business solutions. Responsible for the throughput and production quality of assigned shift(s). Help maintain alignment to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and applicable ISO systems.  The Shift Manager is expected to:
  • Lead, coach, and motivate team within respective area of responsibility, while providing direction to achieve department deliverables and site objectives
  • Help develop departmental budget and investment plan(s) according to long-term strategic objectives
  • Cultivate employee talent through training and coaching measures, while also conducting employee performance reviews, along with interviewing for new hires/transfers
  • Assist in developing and implementing programs for employee training needs per position.
  • Review and manage re-inspection backlogs, quality issues, machine changes, handling and material issues
  • Perform audits and provide control measures within the range of responsibility, while determining necessary improvement activities
  • Create planning documents (holiday planning, shift planning, training plans) and schedule/organize staffing to meet business needs
  • Participate in routine production meetings and report on production quantities, quality, accomplished order production, tool availability, maintenance tasks, etc.
  • Manage assigned CAPA(s) by performing root cause investigations, while defining resolution actions; implement preventive and corrective actions in a timely manner as a result of customer complaints or customer audit findings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
