Bid Manager/Writer Location: Manchester/London/Glasgow/Derby/Warwick - 1 day in the office per week Salary: £33,000 - £45,000 With 13 office locations, my client is an international, multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising within engineering and project management. Reporting directly into the Head of Marketing and Head of Bids, they are looking for a Bid Manager to come on board and support the growth of an innovative, diverse, and agile organisation through the delivery of high-quality proposals and tender submissions for both the UK and Europe. This person will need to be an all-rounder, someone that is confident with the whole bid process as they will be doing the coordination, a bit of bid writing, managing the bid and looking at the strategy around the bid as well. Roles and Responsibilities Support the full lifecycle of the bid process, from opportunity identification, development of strategy through to interview and handover to operations Contribute to administering the shared mailbox and managing opportunity notifications Coordinate the decision-making process for each proposal Contribute to win strategies and storyboard development Prepare EOIs, PQQs, proposals, ITTs, including: Bid management, coordination & administration Collation of information Management of clarification questions Writing of responses & management of other contributors Production of CVs and case studies General formatting Ensure the governance process and company procedures are followed for every bid Complete Supplier Questionnaires and other supplier information Bid management, including feeding into the strategy of the bid Creating presentation material and other collateral ensuring the company message and brand is promoted Collation, maintenance and uploading of Best Practice Library materials Maintaining and updating a library of CVs Some travel to other UK and Europe offices may be required as and when needed Ideal Candidate Ideally degree educated in a relevant subject Ideally 3+ years of experience in a bid environment in any industry Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of people at different levels Sound knowledge of the bid process and bid best practice Ability to be creative in both writing and presentation Excellent time management and planning skills Highly organised with a thorough approach and eye for detail Able to manage and meet multiple project deadlines Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. InDesign) an advantage Willingness to learn and undertake further training Highly dependable and willing to go above and beyond in supporting the business
