*Overview* Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN is looking for an Emergency Department Tech to join our Emergency Department. Fairview Lakes Medical Center provides award-winning care to the communities North East of the Twin Cities.

We are a Level IV trauma center, providing life-saving treatment to the seriously ill and injured 24 hours a day. Specialty services are available on-site in heart care, cancer care, childbirth, orthopedics, pediatrics and more Emergency Services:* + 24 beds: 3 teams; Team A - 8 rooms, Team B - 8 rooms and Team C - 7 rooms. + The trauma room stands alone, Team Nursing model + Multidisciplinary approach to all emergencies.

+ Care delivery team: Board Certified/Eligible ED physicians, RNs, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, Psych Associates The scope of practice extends from a patient's entry into the emergency room and continues from triage through discharge. Care is centered on patients and families experiencing acute or chronic, actual or potential physical or psychosocial problems. Unique to emergency nursing are processes that require resuscitation and/or stabilization Other information about this Emergency Department Tech position:* + This is a 6 FTE* on rotating evening shift (48 hour per 2 weeks) + 8 hour shifts.

To be successful, the EDT must be able to: + Provide patient care + Assist in resuscitation + Document patient care activities and procedures on the nursing records.Qualifications*.

Minimum License/Certification/Required* + BLS + Current EMT card or EDT certification upon hire. This certification does not need to be maintained throughout employment or* + Nursing Assistant Certification upon hire. This certification does not need to be maintained throughout employment or when transferring to like Nursing Assistant, Nursing Station Tech/Assistant roles or* + LPN licensure upon hire.
