Job Title: Quality Compliance Lead Department: Technical Reporting to: Technical Manager Job Summary Ensure that the Company meets the required standards of compliance by implementation and continuous improvement of the company s documented Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Management systems Dimensions Control of the company s operational system and procedures relating to FSC, BRCGS, ISO 14001 Main Duties and accountabilities Compliance Monitor and continuously improve company's documented Food Safety Management System; Ensure BRC standards are met to a minimum grade A standard; Provide hands-on assistance to ensure that the company's operational processes are conducted efficiently and in accordance with documented procedures and Best Manufacturing Practises; Carry out regular audits of the company's Food Safety and Environmental systems in accordance with documented schedules. Maintain and distribute records relating to quality complaints, responding to customers with root causes actioning via appropriate channels within business. Attend Quality meetings on regular basis Ensure product compliance with national and international legislation; Complete Technical data sheets and declarations of food compliance, ensuring they meet the relevant food safety standards; Update and implement revised customer specifications; Manage FSC System; Manage the Environmental aspects of the business within local council guidelines, ensure all environmental permits are in place To approve all major suppliers and ensure that they are fully compliant with current legislation. Make Packaging Waste submissions; Maintain pollutant release and transfer register for the business; Maintain and distribute paperwork for factory incl. cleaning records and schedules, and material utilisation and operator QC checklists. General office duties as may be required. Perform other duties reasonably falling within the scope of the post as may be required by the Technical Manager. Person Specification BRCGS compliance knowledge and experience essential in a production environment; Minimum 2-5 years experience working in a similar role in Manufacturing; Graduate or equivalent Organised Detailed and Analytical An engaging approach with the ability to influence and develop relationships at all levels Local to Southend on Sea Full clean driving licence IT literate Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Techniques (Preferable) Hours of Work 830am 430 pm Monday Friday Salary c 35K dependent on experience
