POSITION: Senior Cleaning Manager Food Distribution Centre SALARY: £40,000 per annum to be reviewed after 3 months LOCATION: Avonmouth, Bristol Our client is a leading multi service provider in the UK Facilities Sector who are achieving outstanding growth with a combination of organic growth and new contract successes. As a result, they are now looking to recruit a new position of Senior Cleaning Manager in the above location. This is a major contract, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the proactive and effective management of the cleaning services for the Distribution Centre working in partnership with the site-based Client. Key Responsibilities will include: Establishing a thorough understanding of the site working requirements and needs against the cleaning specifications, delivering timely and consistent service standards through a highly organised and planned approach, working closely with the Depot Management to achieve this. Ensuring the Cleaning specifications are being consistently met, working mutually with the site-based client to ensure complete understanding and delivery of both our and their responsibilities as a team Reviewing the cleaning standards continuously, and with the customer, proving evidence of the specifications being met by maintaining tracker records / photographs as per processes set Completing a formal cleaning standards audit mutually once per month with the site-based client, achieving the KPI set and constantly seeking to improve, also defining improvement next steps, and ensuring these are delivered in a timely and effective manner Ensuring effective communications with your Site Supervisors, cleaning team, and Client Senior Managers regarding the specifications and ensuring they are aware of any issues. Ensuring all rotas and trackers are in place and completed daily for Cleaning including shifts, Lift, and sweep, Dekit, scrub plans and periodic tasks to cover the needs of the site considering peak periods, and within set labour budgets Inspection of all plant, equipment, and machinery on site regularly and report on any defects / repairs required immediately. Ensuring the equipment is maintained as per maintenance contracts in place. Control and monitor all budgets consistently within set levels Labour hours, materials, consumables, uniforms, and all equipment Maintain an effective working relationship with the customer by ensuring that you communicate with the customer managers and meet with them daily to update them on all relevant information, and agree short- and long-term plans to meet the needs of the depot hygiene requirements Identify opportunities to develop the service, discussing these with your line Manager to agree customer approach / actions. Candidate s background & experience: - Proven and referenced experience of managing people. Experience within the cleaning and/or facilities industry. Proven track record of operating in a high pressure 24/7 DC or similar service industry Business for at least 2 years IOSH National General Certificate or equivalent to be held and kept current Ability to influence and gain commitment from the team and the customer to raise and sustain excellent cleaning standards Able to drive cleaning standards with your team to a sustained high level of performance, whilst constantly seeking improvement Able to demonstrate customer focus and to have daily meetings with the customer. Effective communicator who can deliver messages and push back to the customer if required. Exceptional level of planning and organisational skills. Ability to demonstrate strong personal integrity and embed these values in your team.
