Philadelphia, PA Essential Duties:
  • Become a team member of the Philadelphia office and contribute to the growth and capabilities of the Passenger Rail & Transit Group
  • Lead the preparation of track design documents, including plans, specifications, quantities, and design calculations
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
  • Lead delivery of track design tasks, including horizontal and vertical geometry and modeling using InRoads and/or OpenRail software
  • Lead the design of track horizontal and vertical alignments, including the processing of survey data, regression analysis
  • Prepare special trackwork details for procurement and installation
  • Occasionally perform track inspection and fieldwork as needed
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
  • PE license preferred
  • Six to twelve years experience specific to track design for passenger rail and/or freight railroad clients
  • Understanding of railroad systems (traction power, signals, and communications)
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Fluency in Microstation, OpenRail, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a cooperative, team environment
