Job Description

Role Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Cyber Security is responsible for Summit s overall cybersecurity preparedness and incident response. This role will develop a comprehensive security strategy to protect the security posture of Summit and oversee all security planning and operations to ensure a secure, stable, and efficient environment.

Essential Job Functions:

Define Cybersecurity strategy.

Oversee all aspects of the IT Security Operations Governance Program. Including tools/programs for ongoing protection and monitoring of the Summit environment.

Establish and track security metrics that accurately measure Summit s cyber security posture and activity.

Identify, classify, and track Business, Operational, and 3rd Party IT Risk.

Manage Summit s vulnerability management program.

Define and lead Summit s Incident response plan.

Plan and oversee Summit s Business Continuity plan.

Plan and oversee internal and external security audits.

Work across Summit s Information Technology department to provide architectural insight to keep summit s technical environments secure, efficient, and up to date.

Monitor emerging technologies, products, services, and other industry trends and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to develop a technological roadmap for IT Security.

Ensure Summit s cyber security training is current and effective. Oversee training execution across the organization.

Conduct long- and short-term financial forecasts and prepare an annual IT security budget.

Direct the preparation of Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, review responses and negotiate vendor contracts.

Ensure adherence to, policies, procedures, and other documents for IT.

Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as established frameworks e.g. NIST CSF, GDPR, COBIT or ITIL .

Collaboration, Communication, and Relationship Management:

Participate in the development of a strategic IT plan in collaboration with the executive team and other IT leaders.

Collaborate with project managers and other business partners to coordinate the execution of projects.

Direct the preparation and ensure the timely distribution of all cyber security related communications to all stakeholders.

Establish and cultivate strong business relationships with vendors and other external and internal stakeholders

Demonstrate strong influence skills in a matrixed environment of teams and projects.

Team Management:

Demonstrate the ability to lead, and not just manage, the security operations team.

Oversee associate scheduling and task delegation.

Demonstrate the ability to manage across multiple time zones and regions

Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and mentoring to managers.

Encourage professional development through the availability of appropriate training opportunities within the department.

Participate in the recruitment, selection, and training of new hires as necessary.


Essential skills & Experience:

Minimum 7 years of broad IT experience

Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, or a related field.

Thorough understanding of IT Security current best practices and standards.

Demonstrated experience in capacity planning, capacity management and the development of disaster recovery plans.

Demonstrates the ability to learn and understand applicable laws and regulations for full regulatory compliance.

Show the ability for critical thinking and problem solving.

Outstanding persuasion and negotiations skills.

Ability to liaise with and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.

Ability to lead others and thrive in a team-based environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in a user-friendly way.

Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities

Sound judgment in high-pressure situations

Able to travel as necessary.
