The Position

Your department

Our department focuses on the development and supply of research immunoassays on our Roche internal analysis systems. These assays are distributed to internal and external stakeholders for exploratory study measurements within the diagnostic biomarker evaluation but also for global pharmaceutical studies over an extended period of time.

Your Team

We are a young, dynamic team, consisting of 10 direct colleagues. Our team is responsible for the reproduction of those assays in a lab scale and for guaranteeing a consistently high quality as well as in-time provision for ensuring continuous supply for internal and external study measurements. As the current demand for research assays is growing steadily, we are now strengthening our team to implement new processes in order to ensure that customer needs are fulfilled on-time.

Your tasks

Reproduction of research assays and supply of research assays to internal and external stakeholders

Provision of reliable prototype Assays according to QM-requirements, which allow the usage within clinical studies and generate a reliable basis for further developments and

subsequent launches on the market.

Responsibility for future demand, production and capacity planning, as well as volume and demand analysis

Implementation and optimization of logistical process management (capacity management, process design, etc) as well as the required tools and reports.

Support and guidance of independent projects for efficiency and quality improvement

Engagement to get involved in design processes overarching the entire production chain

Coordination of all activities within the planning, executing and reporting phases as well as documentation of the achieved results

Professional leadership of technicians to ensure a safe and efficient work environment

Who you are

You have successfully completed a study degree in biotechnology / bioengineering / chemical engineering or a comparable degree program complemented with a PhD.

You have a broad background in natural sciences, mainly within immunology and protein chemistry. As a merit you have knowledge or first experiences, e.g. through internships, of logistical processes, especially in planning, distribution, warehousing, master data management and demand-to-supply.

You are fluent in English and German.

You have a high degree of independency, flexibility, structure, organizational skills, engagement and resilience as well as decision-making ability

You have pronounced social skills and are enthusiastic about leadership tasks

You have a diplomatic and confident appearance also in an international setting as well as pronounced intercultural sensitivity, by showing negotiation skills when interacting with internal and external stakeholders

You distinguish yourself by being ambitious, confident and talented to take over disciplinary leadership after the initial 36 months.

This position will be filled early 2023 and is limited to 3 years.
