Supply Chain Planning Supervisor
Your Tasks
- Supervise team of Supply Chain Planners.
- Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short & long term performance goals
- Communicate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
- Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
- Schedules material and resources to meet customer (internal and external) requirements
- Reviews SAP system for open (new) material demands
- Creates detailed processes to configure materials to meet customer (internal and external) requirements
- Creates detailed manufacturing routings and associated customer drawings to allow efficient and effective execution on by Operations group.
- Monitors process status (start and completion), dates and reports non-conformances to appropriate department management for rescheduling and corrective action
- Reviews completed processes for accuracy, costing and posting of materials to inventory
- Reviews material, machine and other resources for more effective and efficient usage and recommend improvements
- Monitors manufacturing costs/processes, adjusting processes as needed to improve costs
- Assists with yearly standard article reviews, setting and monitoring of production machine capacities and creation of articles
- Cost Consciousness - Develops and implements cost saving measures; conserves organizational resources
- Full knowledge of Production Management systems; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; SAP Order processing systems; SAP MRP Transactions; MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Processing software
Your Profile
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Production Planning
- Working knowledge of Business Management software (SAP, Computer skills, Excellent communication skills
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management or related major highly desired
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Achieve performance standards with regards to safety, line utilization and quality
- Tracks key performance indicators/costs, anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets
- Oversees and assures facility equipment reliability to minimize downtime
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make tradeoff decisions quickly
- Ability to give/receive constructive feedback
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making
- Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced results-oriented, changing work environment
- Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation and team building skills
