A rewarding opportunity has just become available in Southern Connecticut for the Women's Services Nurse Director! The RN leader with a strong background in labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and nursery care will be welcomed into the role by a tenured group of women's services staff.
This award-winning 100+ bed short term acute care hospital is prepared to offer personalized care to patients in the surrounding communities, with services including: 24/7 Emergency Care, Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical Services, Oncology Services, Behavioral Health, Rehabilitation and Therapy Services, as well as Women's and Infantile Care. This hospital has received accreditation by The Joint Commission and is associated with a top-rated medical school with a number of full-time residents on staff. The RN Director Women's Services will play an integral role not only in the service line, but within the organization as a whole.
Reporting directly to the Chief of Obstetrics and Chief Nursing Officer CNO, the Women's Services Nurse Director will oversee a team of approximately 25 FTEs, along with all Women's Services departments including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum Recovery, and Well Baby Nursery. The RN Director Women's Services will assume 24-hour responsibility of all departments, in addition to all administrative, HR, operational, and financial duties. The Women's Services Director will have the wonderful opportunity to lead an experienced group of RN staff, and will ensure delivery of high quality patient care in all areas.
Requirements for this role include:
- Connecticut State RN Licensure
- BSN Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and MSN Master's of Science in Nursing Degrees
- Previous related healthcare leadership experience
- 5+ years of maternal child health experience
